This week Paul talks about his first experiences playing Chain of Command from Too Fat Lardies. Gets into the rules, also realizes when he was talking he may have gotten a few things wrong. Be nice, he only played once at this point.

Chain of Command is about leadership. Pity this wasn’t emphasised. It’s unique feature.

Hey guys great review! The lardies do a great job balancing fun/role-play with historically based mechanics. Just to add some extra meat onto your review for those that haven't played: Engineer teams, you don't have to pick how they're equipped until after your opponent has placed any roadblocks/barbed wire/minefields. That way you are bringing the right tools for the job but you still have to preempt that you will need them. You are also capped at four sections of barbed wire and two minefields, more then enough to lockdown most of the board but at the expense of taking actual units. It's a game that gives you so many tactical options that it's spoilt me for other games... no going back to YGIG after CoC.
